Train Driver Job Mechanical Comprehension Test

The role of a train driver sometimes involves identification and fixing of faults on trains.

For this role, a basic understanding of mechanical and technical principle is required.

The mechanical comprehension test is designed to assess your understanding of these principles. Questions in this test are multiple choice questions. Usually time allocated to this session works out at about 30 seconds per question. So obviously time is a major constraint.

TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL TEST RESULT

On the day of the test, work through the practice questions provided and fully understand the underlying principles before you commence the actual test.

• Work as fast as you can through as many questions as possible.

• Answer easier questions first and come back to the more difficult ones later.

NB. If you have never had any knowledge of mechanics, you need to worry as this test is a matter of logic rather than an in-depth knowledge of mechanics.
