This test is designed to assess your ability to remain vigilant and concentrate on a repetitive task for long periods.

This test forms one part of a safety test you will take to determine if you have the qualities required to become a safe train driver.

The test is computer based. You will be presented with a number of pages containing various patterns of grouped dots.

Your task will be to cross out groups of 2,3, or 4  dots irrespective of pattern,
working from left hand side of each page to the right. You will be required to
work through five pages under strict timing.

A high level of concentration and speed is required to pass this test. This test records a high failure rate and one you should watch out for.

TIPS

      1. Remember that you will be marked down for wrong answers so do not sacrifice accuracy for speed.

      2. Work systematically from left to right and from up to down.

      3. You need not worry if you do not get to the end of the test, this is not an indication of failure. Very few people get to the end of the test.
